Sarah Kohn’s class in physical education, March 9th, 2015.

Ms. Kohn’s class had a chance to work at a variety of stations after first playing Guard your Home.  It was good to see that those who had their last #basketball game of the season worked on their skills.  The game #ladder ball was introduced for the first time and some of the students had played this at home and were able to teach their peers how the game is played.  Ms. Brenen thought it was cool that a real ladder was used instead of having to  purchased.  The students showed maturity and a willingness to try new things and work with all students.  These cooperation skills are as much a part of the PE curriculum as the exercise.

With President's Day just celebrated I had the poster of the past presidents on the wall. The poster near the water fountain and equipment room makes for a place to lay your eyes while gathering for instruction. I have been impressed by all the students I have noticed looking closely at the poster and trying to learn the names.

This indoor tetherball pole has provided a nice station option. Some students have become very proficient.

The students have adapted to the space and lines of the gym. They have a game of 4 circle and have come to terms with rules that all can accept and play by. This ability to "play well with others" is a skill worth developing.
